I'm Derek Boylan, the founder of Sound The Horn Customs and the face behind TheBricklyBugle. I studied communications at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), where I sharpened my skills in storytelling and media—tools that have been essential in shaping my brand’s voice and connecting with audiences.

My love for art started early. As a kid, I was always sketching characters and scenes—many of which eventually inspired the custom minifigures I create today. My photography is where everything comes together: vibrant color, thoughtful composition, and a cinematic sense of storytelling. Whether I’m capturing spontaneous moments from TV shows or setting up elaborate scenes with my custom figures, I strive to bring out emotion, texture, and light in every shot.

For me, it’s all about the details—and celebrating creativity in every frame.
